Something I heard a lot growing up was the phrase "Don't be so sensitive!" I have a lot of feels,  okay?? And this was challenging for my parents. Now the shoe is on the other foot - thanks Karma! - as I find myself navigating the same situation from the other side, parenting a pair of sensitive littles through life and all she throws at us. I know one thing for certain: I don't want them to feel like being sensitive is a weakness, because it is absolutely the opposite. Sensitivity is what helps us connect to others, to have empathy and understanding, in turn fostering tolerance and respect. Sensitivity is a superpower!
